The History Society has copies of five log books which were written by Headmasters during the periods

• 1864 - 1877

• 1877 - 1893

• 1893 - 1901

• 1903 - 1920

• 1921 - 1941

The originals are now in the safe keeping of the Borders Archives at the Heritage Hub, Hawick.

1864 - 1893

A selective transcription has been completed for the books 1864 - 1877 and 1877 - 1893. At the end of each transcription there is an index of names, places and events mentioned in the log book.

The log book covering the period 1893 - 1901 has been scanned and is available in three sections.
